In the publisher's original decorative cloth, re-backed in modern cloth, endpapers and blanks replaced.

Illustrated with eighty one coloured vignettes. Collated, complete.

Written and illustrated by James William Edmund Doyle, a British historian, antiquarian, and illustrator. An impressive work of Victorian colour printing is demonstrated here, with the author's own illustrations adorning the work throughout, engraved and printed by Edmund Evans.

Condition

In the publisher's original decorative cloth, re-backed in modern cloth, endpapers and blanks replaced. Externally very smart with the odd mark to the boards, and slight rubbing to the extremities. Marks to the endpapers. Internally, firmly bound with only the odd spot, heavier to the title page.
