The first edition in book form.

A five volume complete set, scarce to see in a complete set.

Part of the 'Rerum Britannicarum Medii Aevi Scriptores, or 'The Chronicles and Memorials of Great Britain and Ireland During the Middle Ages' series. This series strived to publish, edit and compile historical manuscripts and materials from the middle ages, to preserve their contents and make them more accessible.

Illustrated with folding frontispieces depicting the original manuscripts to all but the index.

This set features a collection of monastic annals, edited by the British medieval historian and antiquary, Henry Richards Luard. These historical works provide fascinating insight into the middle ages, and the monasteries during that time.
