Erredge, a local journalist and antiquarian, offers both historical documentation and personal recollections, blending municipal records, anecdotes, and descriptions of the town’s development.

He discusses the impact of the Prince Regent's patronage of the town.

Condition

Rebacked, with the publisher's original back strip laid down, and boards restored. Endpapers renewed. Externally, fine. Inscription to verso of half title. Internally, firmly bound. Pages a touch age toned, with only the odd light handling mark.
