What Our Customers Say...

Description

Decorative Binding, Illustrated

Written and selected by Eliza Cook (1818-1889), an English poet, author, and proponent of women's rights and education. She was an immensely popular figure amongst the working class of both a British and American audience, associated with the Chartist movement. Her first poetry collection was published at the tender age of seventeen.

With beautiful vignettes throughout the text engraved by the Brothers Dalziel and drawn by John Gilbert, J. Wolf, H. Weir, and J. D. Watson.

Bound by Edmonds & Remnants of London.

A delightful poetry collection by an important and pro-feminist writer.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally a trifle worn, with some wear to the extremities and bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, generally firmly bound, with some straining on occasion, notably to page 264. Pages have the odd spot.
