    The first edition of this excellent translation from the original Latin and Anglo-Norman by Henry Thomas Riley, originally compiled in 1419 by John Carpenter and Richard Whitington.

    The work was the first book of English Common Law, and provides fascinating insights into the political, social, legal and commercial life of medieval London. 

    Retaining the original half title page.

    A smart copy rebound in full red cloth.

    Condition

    Rebound in full cloth, with renewed endpapers. Externally, excellent. Small mark to rear board. Library book plate to front paste down. Library stamp to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with age toning to edges.
