Undated; dated 1861 via the British Library.
An early edition of this very scarce work, which was first published the year prior by Samuel French.
The verso of the title page informs readers 'First performed at the Royal Strand Theatre on Wednesday, 26th December 1860'.
Rebound, with endpapers renewed. With one contemporary advertisement leaf to the start of the work, and one to the rear.
With the stamp of the Guildhall Library to the head of the title page verso, and to three further leaves.
A charming 'burlesque extravaganza'.
Condition
Rebound in cloth, with endpapers renewed. Externally, fine. Internally, firmly bound. Tape repairs to gutters of four leaves. Minor chipping to fore edge of first two and final two leaves. Neat restorations to the corner of each leaves of text. Pages lightly age toned, with the odd light tide mark. Closed tears to tails of pages 41-44. Library stamps to title page verso and three further leaves.
