This work features Tennyson's poem about a heroic princess who creates a woman's university where men are forbidden to enter, and her betrothed who sneaks in dressed as a women. Alfred Tennyson was the Poet Laureate from 1850 to 1892.
Bound in a decorative gilt cloth binding.
Condition
In the publisher's original decorative cloth. Externally sound with rear joint tender, slight rubbing and bumping to the extremities, and the odd closed tear to the head and tail of the spine. Front hinge tender and rear weak with spotting to the endpapers. Internally, binding tender in places. Pages very slightly age toned with light spotting throughout.
