A very scarce work.

Volume II only, of a total of two volumes.

A study into the sale and consumption of liquors in Scotland during the Victorian era, an interesting look at the drinking culture and habits of the country.

This report was produced at a period when the government was trying to regulate and control the consumption of alcohol in Britain, in a time of great reform.

Condition

In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, front wrap is detached but present, lacking the rear wrap. Front wrap is edge worn with chips and small tears. Backstrip is torn with some loss. Internally, binding is strained in places. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with scattered spots.
