This volume contains: Alltagsleben in London: Ein Stizzenbuch, 1960. First edition. Very scarce. A charming account of the author's own experiences in London, beginning in Spring of the year 1859 with a voyage across the North Sea, into autumn and winter exploring the city. Ein Herbst in Wales: Land und Leute, Marchen und Lieder, 1858. Early edition, first published in 1857. Very scarce. A commentary on an autumn spent in Wales, with accounts of the landscapes and regions visited by the author, as well as collections of fairy or folk tales and songs. With fourteen pages of sheet music to the rear.
Condition
Bound in faux leather. Externally, smart with light rubbing and the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting throughout. Minor age toning to the endpapers with previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown.
