With a frontispieces, illustrated half titles, vignettes, a folding chart, a double page plate depicting the 'Pilgrim's Progress' to 'Vol III' and 8 plates to 'Vol I', 18 to Vol III' and 3 to Vol II'.
This collection of works by English writer John Bunyan was edited by George Offor. Bunyan was a Puritan preacher and was best known for his Christian allegory 'The Pilgrim's Progress', which is included in this collection. This collection of works also includes his sermons.
Condition
In full morocco. Externally generally smart with fading to the spines, rubbing to the extremities, bumping to the extremities of the boards and slight marks to the boards. Light marking, offsetting to the extremities and the odd spot to the end papers with a past owners bookplate to the front pastedown to 'Vol I'. Hinges starting but firm to 'Vol I' and 'Vol II' and tender to 'Vol III'. Internally firmly bound with bright and generally clean pages with the odd spot, heavier to the fronts and rears. Minor closed tear to the folding plate to 'Vol III'.
