'Idylls of the King' is the first volume in Tennyson's cycle of twelve narrative poems, retelling the legend of King Arthur and his love for Guinevere.

Written by Alfred Lord Tennyson, a noted Victorian poet who was the Poet Laureate for most of Queen Victoria's reign.

Bound without the adverts.

Bookplate of George Abraham Crawley to the front paste downs. Crawley was an artist and designer, who designed Crowhurst Place and Westbury House.  

Bookplate of L. R. Rawlings to the recto of the front endpapers.

Condition

In a full morocco binding, bound by Wood of London. Externally, generally smart. Loss and lifting to the spine. A little light bumping to the extremities. A few light marks to the boards. Rubbing to the front joint. Bookplate to the front paste downs and to the recto of the front endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
