First edition, second issue, with imprint of Bradbury and Evans to the verso of the title. Written by Alfred Tennyson, 1st Baron Tennyson, an English poet who was the Poet Laureate during much of Queen Victoria's reign. Bound by Hayday.

Condition

Bound in full crushed morocco with gilt. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. Minor fading to the spine. Front hinge just starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot and minor age toning to the endpapers. A school prize bookplate to the front pastedown. Bound by Hayday.
