First edition of Chemistry for Schools by Dionysius Lardner in the original publisher's cloth binding. 

A very scarce edition. 

With one hundred and seventy illustrations throughout the text and a monochrome plate as the frontispiece. 

Dionysius Lardner was a professor of natural philosophy and astronomy in University College London.

With eight pages of advertisements to the rear.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, very smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The cloth is slightly faded. The hinges are strained. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean.
