A first edition thus, being the first edition of Tennyson's poem to feature the illustrations of A.L. Bond.

Illustrated with a frontispiece, engraved title page, and eighteen further plates. Collated, complete.

These illustrations are the work of English artist and book illustrator Anna Lydia Bond. She produced also an edition of Tennyson's 'The Lady of Shallot'.

Dated 1858 via the British Library.

Rebacked, in the publisher's original cloth binding, with endpapers renewed.
