Bound in half straight grain morocco with moire cloth to the boards.
This volume features two poems by the noted John Milton, illustrated by Birket Foster. The two poems included are L'Allegro, a pastoral poem, and Il Penseroso, a contrasting pastoral poem about contemplation, with the works being intended to compliment and balance each other.
Condition
Bound in half straight grain morocco with moire cloth to the boards. Eternally generally smart with rubbing to the joints and extremities, bumping and slight loss to the extremities and front joint tender. Old ink inscription to the front free endpaper. Internally firmly bound with age toned pages with scattered spotting throughout.
