Illustrated throughout, with a frontispiece and twenty two plates to each volume. Collated, complete. 'The Virginians' is an historical novel by Thackeray and forms a sequel to his novel 'Henry Esmond.' The work is set during the American War of Independence and follows Esmond's twin grandsons, George and Henry Warrington. The work has become a standard novel of nineteenth century fiction.
