A first edition copy of William Howitt's Tallangetta, The Squatter's Home. A Story of Australian Life, with two volumes bound in one. 

Within these volumes Howitt aimed to depict the various phases of Australian life and character more fully than in his previous book 'Two Years in Victoria.'

William Howitt was a prolific English writer on history and other subjects. 

This is an ex-library copy with a library stamp from Nottingham Public library to the reverse of the title page.

Condition

In full calf leather binding. Externally, smart with some marks to the boards and spine. Front hinge is starting but remains firm. A library stamp to the reverse of the title page. Internally, generally firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages.
