Scarce work. Illustrated with numerous vignettes. A collection of educational, moral and religious verses for young children, with titles such as: 'A General Song of Praise to God', 'Praise for Creation and Providence', and 'Praise God for Our Redemption'. Written by Isaac Watts, an English Congregational minister, hymn writer, theologian, and logician. He was a prolific and popular hymn writer and is credited with some seven hundred and fifty hymns.

Condition

In the original quarter calf with paper covered boards. Externally, sound with light wear and fading to the extremities. The odd small mark to the boards with a light tide mark to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting and the odd handling mark. Light tide marks to the extremities.
