Illustrated by a host of steel engravers, with a monochrome frontispiece and eight monochrome plates. Collated complete.
Bound in a decorative full morocco binding with gilt details.
This work features a collection of stories and poems by various noted authors such as; Robert Burns' Halloween, 'A New Paris' by Goethe and 'Mary of Scotland' by Allan Cunningham. Many of the works come from Germany and have been translated to English.
Condition
Bound in a decorative full morocco binding. Externally generally smart with bumping and wear to the fore edges, rubbing to the joints with joints starting to the head and tail and slight marks to the rear board. Marks to the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with generally bright pages with offsetting to the front and scattered spotting throughout. Old ink inscription to the front blank.
