This contains the text of the City's loyal address, printed in blue and red, and the Emperor's reply, which is printed in facsimile.
This demonstrates the civic role of the Corporation of London in hosting a major act of international diplomacy.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Rubbing and fading to back strip, with minor losses of cloth to back strip heads and tails. Boards age toned to perimeters. Internally, tide marks to gutters of pastedowns and endpapers. First gathering tenderly held. Pages otherwise clean and bright.
