Present at the birth of Mary Shelley's 'Frankenstein', and widely gossiped and written about during and after his lifetime, this collection presents the works of one of the most famous poets in the English language, notorious for his controversial life.

With a half title to each volume.

With the inscription of Hugh W. Thurbury, dated 21 Dec. 1869, to a front blank of each volume.

Condition

In a full calf binding, with gilt detailing to back strip. Externally, lovely. Light rubbing to joints. Front joint of volume I starting, with board tenderly held. Head of front joint of volume II, III starting, with board firmly held. Inscription to a front blank of each volume. Internally, firmly bound. Pages exceptionally clean and bright.
