Description
First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding
The first edition.
An interesting travelogue recounting the author's explorations to Australia and New Zealand.
The Wesleyan minister Robert Young embarked on an eighteen month long missionary trip around the world, the bulk of which he was occupied in Australasia. During these eighteen months Young travelled 40,000 miles around the globe.
After arriving in Australia, Young began to preach, and found himself amazed by the spread of Methodism in the colony.
Interestingly this work includes an account of Young's experiences gold digging, after he spent Christmas Day one year digging.
