Illustrated, Leather Binding

Robert S. Surtees was an English editor, novelist sporting writer. Mr. Sponge's Sporting Tour is widely considered Surtees's finest work. With 13 hand-coloured plates and numerous illustrations throughout by John Leech.

Condition

In a red half morocco leather binding with marbled boards. Expertly rebacked - hardly to be seen. Externally, smart with slight wear to extremities and marks to boards. Spine slightly sunned. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean, with slight spotting here and there.
