Thomas Chandler Haliburton was a Nova Scotian politician, judge, and author. He created the character Sam Slick for a column in the Novascotian, whose satirical sketches are related in this two volume set.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally in excellent condition with slight bumping to the extremities. Slightly cocked. Bookplate to front paste down of both volumes. The odd mark to the boards. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with small tidemark to lower extremity of leaves of volume two. The odd spot.
