This volume is illustrated with twenty-four plates of engravings after paintings by J. M. W. Turner. Collated, complete.

Sir Walter Scott was a Scottish novelist, poet and historian, with many of his works including 'Ivanhoe', 'Rob Roy', 'The Lady of the Lake' and 'Marmion' remaining classics of European and Scottish literature. He is credited with popularising the historical romance genre and particularly medieval settings. 

Complete with all of Scott's introductions and notes as well as those by the editors. 

Condition

Bound in full gilt-decorated calf, with gilt dentelles. Externally, smart, with rubbing to the extremities and marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with occasional scattered spotting throughout.
