Covering various localities and appearances, visual organs, effects of temperature, classifications, reproduction and methods of collecting and preparing for examination.
Pritchard made significant improvements to microscopy, with his List of 2000 Microscopic Objects (1835) recognised as "very important in the history of microscopy..." by the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography.
Condition
In a contemporary full cloth binding. Externally, smart, with slight fading to the spine. Rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Pictorial bookplate to the front paste down. Pages are generally bright and clean, with marginal age toning and the occasional spots.
