Description

Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

A very scarce work, in which the merciless servant, the lord of the vineyard, the wicked husbandmen, the faithful servant, the ten virgins, the sheep and the goats, the good Samaritan, the prodigal son, Dives and Lazarus, and the good shepherd are depicted.

Consisting of twenty-six engraved leaves printed in red and blank, and with illustrations by John Franklin to twelve leaves. Collated, complete.

These illustrations are engraved by F. E. Becker's patented process.

Undated; dated 1851 via Jisc and WorldCat, with date derived from the British Museum Catalogue.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with boards starting and tenderly held. Cloth of back strip detaching. Internally, binding failed due to gutta percha. Pages bright, with spotting and scattered instances of foxing.
