Including articles on the principles of suspension bridges, Baggs' atmospheric railway, the death of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, navigating in the Arctic, the manufacture of sulphuric acid, train velocity, and numerous other subjects.
Condition
In a half calf binding, with marbled paper covered boards. Light rubbing to back strip and board perimeters. Small loss to back strip head. Head of rear joint starting, with board firmly held. Front hinge strained, but firmly held. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright, with instances of spotting throughout, most concentrated to plates.
