Romantic poet and Poet Laureate from 1813 until his death, Robert Southey was a prolific letter writer and literary scholar as well as a historian and biographer.

Vice-Admiral Nelson is widely regarded as one of the greatest naval commanders in history. His unconventional tactics brought about various British naval victories, particularly during the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars.

Condition

In full calf binding with intricate gilt tooling to spine, titles in gilt to morocco spine label, marbled edges and endpapers, Externally a trifle rubbed with shelf wear, front board detached but present. Staining mark to head of front and rear board affecting through the upper margin of text block. Internally, firmly bound. Pages otherwise bright and clean.
