    Illustrated with a monochrome plate frontispiece of the author.

    Full bound in the original publisher's gilt decorated cloth.

    Very scarce.

    This is a heartening collection of Christian literature by the nineteenth-century Reverend James Smith, author of The Believer's Daily Remembrancer, The Book That Will Suit You, and Messenger of Mercy. It contains sections on 'Peace with God', 'Eternal Life in Believing', and 'A New Year's Address', as well as 'A Christian Prayer' at its close.

    Condition

    In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing, heavier to the joints where there is some splitting of the cloth, and a couple of marginal handling marks. Spine is a touch cocked, and there is slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine and the extremities, resulting in fractional splitting of and loss to the cloth. Previous owner's inscription and notes to the front endpapers. Internally, binding is firm. Pages are a trifle age toned however generally clean with just the odd spot to the outer leaves.
