Edited by Guil Dillenburger and published in the mid-19th century by Adolf Marcus (Adolphi Marci), a publisher based in Bonn, Germany, who specialised in Latin publications, including legal texts and classical literature.

Q. Horatii Flacci Opera Omnia refers to the collected works of the Roman poet Quintus Horatius Flaccus. The phrase is a Latin title for collections of his poems, such as the Odes, Epodes, Satires, Epistles, and Ars Poetica.

Condition
In a full calf prize binding with a gilt crest from St Bees Grammar School, 1587. Gilt decoration to the spine with red spine label. Very minor shelf wear to extremities. Spotting to front and rear boards. Slight fading to very top of front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages age toned. Spotting, heaviest to first and last few. With an extensive contemporary ink inscription to the front free endpaper. Marbled paste downs and fore edge.
