A religious tale by Christoph Von Schmid, a German writer known for his children's stories. This tale follows Madam de Lindon, a devoted catholic women, as she mentors a young girl called Sophie to follow in her path. 

Illustrated with a monochrome steel engraved frontispiece. 

Written in French.

Condition

In the original cartonnage binding. Externally very smart with only minimal handling marks and edge wear, and very slight fading to the spine. Internally firmly bound with bright pages and occasional light spotting.
