Volume four contains the first book of A Treatise on Christian Doctrine, translated by Charles R. Sumner. New edition. Volume five contains the second book of A Treatise on Christian Doctrine, translated by Charles R. Sumner. New edition. With a preface, preliminary remarks, and notes by James Augustus St. John, a British journalist, writer, and traveller. Previously held in the library of R. E. M. Maddison, a British doctor of philosophy.
Condition
In the original half calf binding with cloth covered boards. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. Fading to the spines with loss of the spine labels. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light age toning to the endpapers. Previous owners' bookplates to the front endpaper and pastedown.
