In publisher's original green cloth. Externally, generally smart with some bumping to extremities, causing folding of cloth at head and tail of spine. Front hinge slightly strained. Odd mark on spine and boards. Damp staining to rear endpapers. Internally, generally firmly bound, with binding loosening in places. Pages very bright and clean. Contemporary ink inscription dated 1853 to the half title.
