Description

Leather Binding

Italian explorer and navigator Christopher Columbus (1451-1506) was noted for his voyages across the Atlantic Ocean, paving the way for colonization and further exploration of the Americas.

Washington Irving (1783-1859) was an American author and historian, primarily remembered for his short stories, with Rip Van Winkle' and 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow', being his most widely known. He also wrote biographies on figures such as Oliver Goldsmith, George Washington and Muhammed.

Bound in contemporary leather.

A Parisian edition in English, produced for use in schools.

Condition

In a contemporary half calf binding. Externally rather worn; the leather corners are all lacking, and the corners are bumped as a result. Spine has just a little rubbing, as do the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with a few contemporary instances of underlining and annotations.
