Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

Two issues of this very scarce work. 

Present here is No. 142, May, 1845 and No. 144, July 1845.

These guides contained comprehensive and regularly updated railway schedules, along with steamship routes, fares, and maps.

These guides were used by travellers, railway staff, and businesses alike, and remained in circulation - under various titles - until the 1960s.

With advertisements to the rear of each volume.

Condition

In the publisher's paper wraps. Lacking front wrap of May issue, with July issue front wrap detached but present. Lacking back strips. Handling marks to wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages age toned, with significant handling marks throughout.
