    Description

    Author's Presentation Copy, Pleasing Copy, Signed

    Containing a series of thirteen articles contributed to the 'British Quarterly Review' in one volume. Each article forms a book review by M Jones, published between 1845 and 1852. 

    The reviewer's own copy, with his manuscript index, contents list, and signature dated 1872. 

    Notable articles include  reviews of publications such as 'Poems. By Elizabeth Barrett Barrett in two volumes, 1844'; MAE Wood's 'Letters of Royal and Illustrious Ladies of Great Britain,' 1846; and Samuel Warren's 'Now and Then,' n.d. among others.

    Condition

    In full cloth binding with titles in gilt to morocco spine label. Externally sound with light bumping to head and tail of spine and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean.
