What Our Customers Say...

Description

The scarce first edition of the fascinating A Pilgrim's Reliquary, written by Thomas Henry White, same author of 'Fragments of Italy and the Rhineland'. Published by William Pickering in 1845.

A fine binding, in half calf, half marble boards.

In this thought-provoking book, White delves into the concept of pilgrimage, including its history, its meaning and its significance as a personal journey. White recounts his own experiences of pilgrimage across Europe, including Paris and Genoa, in a beautiful manner. With rich imagery he narrates his journey, the history of the sites he visits, and the various relics he encounters.
