The first edition of the third volume of Granville's three volume work. Volumes I and II - not present here - presented Northern and Midland spas, where this volume describes the spas of the south of the country.

Physician and writer Augustus Bozzi Granville, provides an account of the various spas and sea-bathing locations in England, and discusses their medical and health benefits.

Illustrated with four plates. Collated, complete.

Rebacked, with endpapers renewed.

With publisher's catalogue to the rear.

Granville is credited with carrying out the first medical autopsy on an Ancient Egyptian mummy, which he described to the Royal Society of London in 1825.

Condition

Rebacked, in the publisher's original cloth binding with back strip laid down and retaining the original boards. Externally, very smart. Endpapers renewed. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
