    A complete seven-volume collection of The Poetical Works of William Wordsworth, comprising the 1843 New Edition in six volumes published by Edward Moxon, together with the 1842 Poems, Chiefly of Early and Late Years uniformly bound as the seventh volume.

    Illustrated with an engraved frontispiece portrait to Volume I.

    This elegant set presents the complete canon of Wordsworth’s poetry, from Lyrical Ballads and The Excursion to his later reflective works, showcasing the evolution of one of the leading voices of English Romanticism.

    Condition

    In a uniform brown morocco binding with gilt, bound by White, 24 Pall Mall. Externally, smart. Previous owner’s inscriptions to front free endpapers. Discreet bookplate of J. O. Edwards to front paste downs. Front joint of volume I cracked, with front board slightly loose but holding. Front joint of volume VI and VII slightly cracked, but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Slight offsetting to title page of volume I from frontispiece. Pages bright and clean, with just one or two spots to first and last few leaves.
