In a uniform brown morocco binding with gilt, bound by White, 24 Pall Mall. Externally, smart. Previous owner’s inscriptions to front free endpapers. Discreet bookplate of J. O. Edwards to front paste downs. Front joint of volume I cracked, with front board slightly loose but holding. Front joint of volume VI and VII slightly cracked, but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Slight offsetting to title page of volume I from frontispiece. Pages bright and clean, with just one or two spots to first and last few leaves.
