A detailed biographical account of the life and career of the noted British Naval Officer, Horatio Nelson, written by James Stanier Clarke and John M'Arthur. These memoirs cover his military career, including accounts of Nelson's part in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, of which he is most famous.

Condition
Bound in contemporary half calf with cloth to the boards. Externally, joints starting, tender to the rear of 'Vol I', with rubbing to the extremities, slight fading to the cloth, and the odd slight mark to the boards. Rear hinge to 'Vol I' starting. Internally firmly bound with generally bright pages, with the odd spot, heavier to the plates. Tidemark to the engraved titles and frontispieces.
