Bound in half green morocco, with marbled paper covered boards.
Describing points of interest found across London, including Windsor Castle, Vauxhall Gardens, Tottenham-mills, Richmond, Greenwich Hospital and others.
Illustrated with thirty-one engraved plates, including a frontispiece and engraved title page, and a folding map of the district. After original drawings by Charles Marshall, J. W. Allen, G. B. Campion and other artists. Collated, lacking three of the plates.
With topographical and historical notices of each place by William Edward Trotter.
With the previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown, illustrated by English genre artist Frederic 'Fred' Roe.
Condition
Bound in half morocco, with marbled paper covered boards and marbled endpapers. Externally, smart, with really only rubbing to the extremities. Bookplate illustrated by Fred Roe to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright, with scattered spots throughout, heaviest to the first few pages. Tide marks to the frontispiece and two of the plates.
