A complete ten volume set. Scarce to see as a complete set in this edition.
This set features a guide to the apostles, morals, and teachings of the Christian church. The work was written by P. Hyacinthe de Montargon and was intended to aid young and training priests in countryside towns who may not be able to afford large amounts of books to aid in creating sermons, combining various subjects in one volume to create one comprehensive guide. The work covers various Christian morals and teachings, such as loving thy neighbour, baptism, the education of children, purgatory, the nativity and much more.

Condition
Bound in half straight grain morocco. Retaining original half titles. Externally excellent with slight rubbing to the boards, and very minimal edge wear. Internally firmly bound with bright pages and the odd spot, heavier to the front and rear. Owner's signature and 'Mount Melleray Abbey' stamps to the title pages. Slight loss to the front few pages, and tape re-enforcements to pp. II to 'Vol I'.
