A collection of lectures delivered by English classical scholar, critic and theologian Richard Bentley, widely recognised as the founder of historical philology. Bentley was nominated as the first Boyle lecturer, a series of lectures named after Robert Boyle which often considered the relationship between Christianity and philosophy.

This work contains Bentley's eight Boyle lectures from 1692, four letters from Sir Isaac Newton to Bentley ant three sermons on various subjects.
