Including chapters on rail road construction, iron rails, descriptions of motive power, turnpike roads, canals, and more. 

Written by Nicholas Wood, colliery viewer and member of the Institution of Civil Engineers. 

Including thirteen folding engraved plates, displaying diagrams of locomotive technology. Also including two folding charts. 

Collated and complete.

Condition

In full cloth binding. Externally, sound, with some light shelf wear and bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Internally, front hinge is strained. Pages contain the odd spot to the pages, but are otherwise bright and clean.
