Description

Leather Binding, Very Scarce

A volume of seven of Junglicus' contributions to 'The Sportsman' and 'New Sporting Magazine' bound in one. Also including an article titled 'Portrait of the Arab Horse Mahomed', in which Junglicus is mentioned.

All of the articles lead with the title 'Field Sports in Southern India', exploring different traditions of sports in India, and what was popular during the early-mid nineteenth century.

Junglicus is the pseudonym for an unknown author.

Condition

In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart, a little rubbed. A few light marks to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with scattered spots. Pencil to the text.
