The third edition off this work. Thomas Walker's periodical The Original, which contains the author's thoughts on a variety of subjects including politics, morality, habits, and customs, with the intent to raise "the national tone in whatever concerns us socially or individually". 

Thomas Walker was an English barrister, police magistrate, and author. 

All numbers from I, Wednesday May 20, 1835 to XXVIII, Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1835. 

Condition

In full calf Bumpus binding with five raised bands, titles in gilt to morocco spine label, marbled edges and endpapers. Externally sound with rubbing to back strip, light fading to rear, boards lightly marked. Internally, firmly bound. Odd light spotting to odd leaf, pages otherwise generally bright and clean.
