Serving as a descriptive field guide for every type of fish found in the British Isles, with an article for each species, this popular work draws on Yarrell's own extensive library as well as his wide network of naturalist friends. This title became the standard reference work for a generation of British ichthyologists.
Condition
In a later full cloth binding. Externally, with damp staining to the boards, but only minor shelf wear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with the odd spot.
