The work evolved from the author's investigation into the wrongdoings of the parishes governments, where he was able to view historical documents and records.

Bound in contemporary half calf with marbled paper to the boards. Externally smart with slight fading to the spine, minor rubbing to the joints, extremities, and boards. Internally firmly bound with bright and generally clean pages with the odd spot. Closed tear to the folding map. Owner's gift inscriptions to the front blank.
