A new edition of this work, which was first published three years prior.

A notable Georgian cookery and housekeeping reference work, particularly important as it is claimed to be the first cookery book to be arranged alphabetically.

This edition includes new and revised recipes, bills of fare, a chart of vegetables, fruit, and meat in season, as well as seven coloured plates displaying table setting ideas. Collated, complete. 

With a monochrome frontispiece, and seven leaves of bills of fare printed with green ink. Collated, complete. 

Written by Richard Dolby, a cook-turned-author from the famed Thatched-House-Tavern. 

Bookplate of Frederick Perkins to front pastedown.

Condition

In a full calf binding. Significant rubbing to back strip, joints, and board perimeters. Front hinge strained, and a touch tender. Bookplate to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Spotting to frontispiece, with pages otherwise clean and bright.
